On August 15, 2011, Laura Cordes became CONNSACS’ new Executive Director. Laura previously spent nine years with CONNSACS in progressively responsible positions, working most recently as the Director of Policy and Advocacy. After leaving the organization in 2008, Laura worked as a lobbyist for CONNSACS and other nonprofits through Judy Blei Government Relations. In addition, she has done consulting work for the MATCH Coalition and taught at Connecticut College. Laura has also worked as a consultant for CONNSACS and was responsible for organizing and executing two large-scale and extremely successful conferences. Prior to Laura’s work at CONNSACS, she served as the Organizing Director for the Connecticut Public Interest Research Groups (ConnPIRG). Laura serves on a number of boards and commissions, in addition to actively volunteering for various organizations.
CONNSACS is thrilled to have Laura join us as Executive Director. Her diverse experiences and strong commitment to ending sexual violence will be of great benefit to CONNSACS and its nine member programs. Laura can be reached at: laura@connsacs.org
