Public Policy
CONNSACS actively works to support legislative initiatives that benefit survivors of sexual violence and hold offenders accountable for their actions. During the legislative session, there are many opportunities for members of the community to submit testimony or contact legislators in support of or in opposition to bills that impact survivors of sexual violence.
College Consortium Against Sexual Assault
The College Consortium Against Sexual Assault (CCASA) is comprised of representatives from Connecticut colleges and universities, as well as individuals from community services and programs who work to improve the response to and prevention of sexual violence.
Victim/Survivor Advisory Council (VSAC)
VSAC is an all-volunteer group of sexual assault survivors and their immediate family members. VSAC provides CONNSACS with feedback on various initiatives, supports the coalition's legislative agenda, speaks to community groups, participates in public awareness events, and reviews CONNSACS publications. Any survivors who are interested in learning more about VSAC should contact Anna: (860) 282 - 9881
